The 138 Yuan helltel ($20)

I finally found a travel agent, and all the tickets to Ya Chung (near the 3 gorges dam) are booked, and it's super inconvenient to get there (I'd have to stand for 17hours). I scrap the 3 gorges dam, stay a day in Guangzhou and book a soft sleeper to Xi'an for tomorrow evening. My hotel would make most people a bit squeamish. I think it is quite affordable, air conditioned, and a single room to myself. However, the a/c unit drips water (and at a fairly impressive rate). The walls have plenty of mildew on them, and the toilet/shower/bathroom leaves a bit to be desired. I shoot a movie of all the water that is on the floor. I didn't notice it when I was first inspecting the room with the random women near the train station/KFC/hostel who asked if I wanted a room, and negotiated a price with. I think about complaining, and eventually a women comes to the door (I forgot to place the key in the ‘key holding’ section of the room). She goes to the phone and dials the help/maint. Desk...and as it rings, tells me to tell them. They don't speak English, and she is gone. I say thank you in Chinese, and move on with life. It's one night.
