Guangzhou seems to have a lot of garment/clothing supplies and wholesale operations. There are rows of manikins, in dozens of shops, other shops have wigs, and still others display setups. This is the place to visit if you ever want to setup a clothing store. Many of the shops have “xxx Factory, LLC” implying that they are not independent or shop owners themselves, but actually representatives of a factory someplace. I walk around visiting different shops. Several shops have signs saying “have stock.” This means that they have inventory that can be taken home today (as opposed to obtaining from a warehouse multiple days away, or ordering from the factory). I buy a suit from one shop, and the suit off a manikin at another shop. I also pick up 3 dresses, after multiple visits of negotiating. The dresses at first were 80 yen a piece, but if purchased in bulk of 5 per style, only 33 yen a piece. I finally settle on 3 dresses, of different types, for 120 yen, or $5 and change each.
I also took photos of the people, and businesses I purchased from, so if anyone likes what I have, I have contact info.
